All the Year Round Story Transition

Title

All the Year Round Story Transition

Description

Whereas the title of The Moonstone was a highlight of the page in All the Year Round, the titles of following works in the publication are not nearly as notable. The plain text of The Moonstone transitions unceremoniously into a new story with an entirely unremarkable title. The titles of the other works in the issue are the capitalized form of the same font as the plain text, with a single line separating it from the story above. The story following The Moonstone is much less spatially defined on the page. Though Wilkie Collins is not mentioned in the title of his work he is referenced by way of one of his works at the beginning of the installment; in the title of the next work in of the periodical, Leaves from the Mahogany Tree, no reference is made at all to an author. This highlights the relative priority that The Moonstone has in this periodical. When flipping through the collection of issues from All the Year Round, the title of The Moonstone is easily distinguishable from every other entry. It is clear that this is a form of branding that readers could easily recognize to consume this literary commodity.
